Milan, 10th July 2023 – Algebris Investments’ first private equity fund, the Algebris Green Transition Fund (the “Fund”), which launched in July 2022, has closed another fundraising round at €70 million. To date, the Fund has raised over €260 million through commitments from major Italian and foreign institutional investors.
The Fund has a fundraising target of €300 million, which Algebris aims to exceed by attracting further commitments in the coming months.
The Fund’s investment activity is focused on companies of excellence supporting the energy transition, circular economy, and smart cities and agritech, while complying with Article 9 of the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation. Following the first close in July 2022, the Fund finalised its first investment in Omnisyst, one of Italy’s leading providers of innovative industrial waste management solutions.
